There is something magical about sunrise and sunset in Chicago.  The sun rising over Lake Michigan offers unique light.  This combined with all the steel and glass buildings reflecting light off the older stone buildings, it create all sorts of beautiful dappled light.  Sunsets are equally dramatic being on the edge of the lake. Because land and water heat and cool at different rates, it creates interesting clouds and fog effects. In the case of this photograph, the weather is nondescript, but what did catch my eye was how the sunset rays were shining through many of the windows.  The Ceres statue on top of the Board of Trade isolated against an empty sky and the sun rays really makes the photo and I was glad I was there to capture it.
