As much as I like B&W photos, this shot just isn’t meant to be. This photograph was taken from the Ashland & Lake CTA bridge looking due east. The last few minutes of sunshine really brought out the colors in the buildings. Putting everything into perspective, the two buildings in the center from where the track come is just under 2 miles away. This view is the underbelly and often the unseen “gritty” side of Chicago but never-the-less just as beautiful in its own way.

All proceeds will be donated to Chicago's Cornerstone Community Outreach in honor of photographer Richard Cleis, 1965-2021.
