At the corner of Adams and LaSalle streets is perhaps one of the most beautiful and one of the oldest buildings in Chicago. This photograph is more about the shading/highlights that caught my eye and how it illuminated the scroll work in the terra cotta. Below is the same sign (under the oil lamp shade) from roughly 1906. All of the buildings in the photograph other than the Rookery have been torn down.

All proceeds of purchases will be donated to Cornerstone Community Outreach in Chicago, IL in honor of photographer Richard Cleis, 1965-2021.
